5 common questions answered
NHTSA’s three recalls involve specific safety concerns that should not be ignored. Missing or incorrectly torqued lower body sill bolts may affect structural integrity during a rear impact. Incorrectly manufactured rear seat latch bolts may break, preventing the rear seats from performing as designed in a crash. A console trim panel may catch the driver’s shoe and delay movement from the accelerator to the brake, potentially increasing stopping distance and crash risk. Because these conditions can affect occupant protection or braking response, waiting may leave an eligible vehicle without its manufacturer remedy. Check your VIN and address any open recall promptly.
