Nissan TITAN Pickup Line Expands for 2017 with Addition of new TITAN Single Cab

The next chapter of Nissan's illustrious truck line was recently unveiled with a sneak peek of the latest members of the TITAN full-size pickup family. The all new TITAN XD and TITAN Single Cabs will join currently available TITAN XD and TITAN Crew Cabs in late fall.

These are the first ever single cab offerings in TITAN history and are designed to provide and affordable entry point to the commercial fleet/work truck segment. The Single Cab is the second of three eventual TITAN body types, joining the current Crew Cab, as well as the future King Cab.

The TITAN will eventually be available with options for three cabs, three engines, three bed lengths, 4x2 and 4x4 drive, and S, SV, SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve trim levels.

This new single cab offering will be offered in both the TITAN and TITAN XD configurations. Both versions will have the same cab dimensions and 8.0-foot pickup beds. They will however have completely separate fully boxed ladder frame chassis.

Much like the TITAN XD Crew Cab, the TITAN XD Single Cab will offer two engine choices. One option will be the Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque; and the 5.6-liter Endurance V8, rated at 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. In addition the TITAN Single Cab will have a foot shorter wheelbase and will initially offer the new 5.6-liter Endurance V8 with a V6 engine that will be available at a later date. Diesel models will feature an Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission and V8 gas engines will utilize a 7-speed automatic transmission.

The Nissan TITAN XD and TITAN Single Cabs are an integral part of Nissan's "Year of the Truck". Find our more at Courtesy Nissan of Tampa, which serves the Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and Brandon areas.
